See their faces, hear their stories - While planning a Northern New Mexico Culture Project I decided to expand my project to all of New Mexico cultures and call it Walls That Talk.
Walls That Talk is a project that takes me into the lives of ordinary people in hopes to share their stories and dreams with the rest of my community. Like my original idea for the Northern New Mexico Culture Project, this project includes audio from the interviews that accompany the photographs.
When I started this project I felt that it would help me gain confidence and experiment with different audio/visual techniques for the much larger scaled Northern New Mexico Project.
My goal for this project became bigger once I started it. I realized that this was a great way to really capture the culture and community that I lived in, preserving the moment for future generations to look back upon.
I hope that when people see my project, hear the stories and see the faces, that they really take up this idea of capturing the story of their community. This can happen on so many levels, you can get a fancy video camera, you could pull out your point and shoot camera and a voice recorder, you can even use a cell phone. Most cell phones now have decent cameras and microphones.
Anything to capture it, but then you have to share it. Use the web to share it with your friends and family.
Trust me, the people that you end up meeting and their stories will touch you and change you forever - Andrea Nandi Turner -Apprentice Midwife

Man's relationship with the moon is one that is full of mystery and wonder. With this series I explored that relashionship by following the moon through it's cycle several times. Then two amazing events happened, first a full lunar eclipse then second a large Super Perigee moon. These two events changed my vision on what was possible with a "cheap" "entry" level DSLR.Photography2011 -
